We enjoyed our stay at your motel albeit was a short visit. Our only problem one of us snored too loudly – the hide-a-abed helped. Should we return this way again or have friends traveling in the area we would recommend it. Thanks

We’ve been home for over a week from our time in Port Alberni and Tofino. Just want to say that your accommodation in #4 (now # 104) for the 4 of us on the nights of Oct 17-18 was just superb. The kitchen was TOPS, as well as the rest of the rooms. It was just what we needed. We have memories of Port Alberni as our trip on the Lady Rose that Saturday in the middle of that storm was reported by one worker on that run to Bamfield, as one of the 4 worst days in his 12 years. And to think we paid for it!!! So special thanks for your provision of excellent space. If we are ever in your area again, we will definitely stay with you and we have no hesitancy in recommending you. Trust you will have a day of joy.

Thank you once again for another lovely stay in August; where did the time go?! I am sorry that it has taken me so long to let you know how welcoming it always is and was even more so this visit to open the door to room 110 and view the re-enhanced charm of the cottage we love to call “ours” during our stays in Port Alberni; well, for that matter the central region. We look forward each year to seeing our lovely bungalow and I for what’s to be found in its enchanted garden: the kitten was a delightful surprise this year. The thoughtful changes to bed and pillows; the special basket-cozy of teas and condiments; the fresh flowers in porcelain vase; lace curtains in powder room window, always a favorite. And, I took the keepsake pen! Thank you for these details to compliment a refreshing respite from the marathon driving and frantic pursuits to celebrate the REST. And, thank you forever for taking the time to advertise over-the-border; for capturing our loyalty, and for tolerating the gush of compliments. It was lovely talking with you this; hoping to see next for two nights.

We did so enjoy staying with you all in September 2002. And now we’re enjoying our photos! We were absolutely enchanted with Port Alberni and with the Somass Motel. What a darling and welcoming place you have! We can’t wait to come back.
